You will be measured by your ideas, not your syntax
Grok Bot guide · Orchestration · Chief of staff · Bot setup
For a long time the scarce skill was making the machine do the thing. You learned a language, a toolchain, a set of keys. People who could ship were rare. People with a sharp idea and no syntax sat outside the shop.
That wall is coming down. Not because taste got cheaper. Because the cost of turning a clear idea into a draft dropped.
What still does not scale
A model will write the function, the cut list, the caption. It will not tell you which problem is worth a week. It will not know which customer is real. It will not feel when a product is dishonest.
Those are ideas. Judgment. Taste. The decision to stop.
When anyone can generate a competent page, the page is not the proof. The proof is whether the page should have existed.
Technical skill does not vanish
You still need people who can see when the draft is wrong. Someone has to read the diff, the plan, the cut. Someone has to say no before a bot adds a sixth seat or a body moves.
That is not the same as being the only person who can type the code. The scarce move is knowing what to ask for, what to refuse, and what to keep.
How work already looks
Operators who get value from bots do not win on longer prompts. They win on a spec you can read in one sitting. One project. One channel. A main bot that routes. Specialists that draft. A human stamp before anything leaves the computer.
The files are simple on purpose: a board, a task table, a rights line on footage you own. The idea is in those constraints. The model fills the cells.
What to practice
Write the outcome in one sentence before you open a chat.
Name what the bot is not allowed to do.
Reuse a seat you already trust before you invent a new one.
Keep a log of what you approved. That log is your taste, dated.
If you cannot say the idea out loud, the model cannot save it. It will only make the fog look finished.
The measure
In five years nobody will ask how fast you can stand up a repo from a blank folder. They will ask which problems you picked, which ones you killed, and whether the people who used the work were better off.
AI does not retire craft. It moves the scoreboard. Ideas first. Hands still on the stamp.
